The Nazi's lend themselves to a study of totalitarian regimes by leaving a massive trail of documentation. Some government don't keep much for accurate paperwork. Some manage to destroy paperwork in their fall. In most cases, only what serves the oncoming power is kept, creating bias. The rapid fall of the Nazi empire lent itself to preservation.
