The Descent of Man and Selection in Relation to Sex
Just thinking about Darwin's idea that humans lost most of their mammalian hair as a result of sexual selection. Here are images from googling "male model" and "female model." Except for the head and, for the male, some stubble on the chin, these images show no hair. Although with the capacity to use tools to remove hair, the evolutionary process may now be stunted, I think it's fairly reasonable that the most hairless, except for crown hair, would be preferred partners in both sexes, irrespective of survival benefit or hindrance.
