Wealth and Poverty: A New Edition for the Twenty-First Century
- George Gilder, Wealth and Poverty: A New Edition for the Twenty-First Century (2012)
Many Focuses Exist in Economics
Gilder focuses on the economics of supply. If you want more transactions, empower suppliers by lowering taxes and regulation that hold back companies and entrepreneurs. Sometimes also called trickle-down economics or Reaganomics.
Other schools focus on demand. In you want more transactions, empower customers by increasing government purchases or giving tax cuts or money to workers.
People probably fall into the school that aligns with their place in the economy.
Don't tell the economists, but it seems to me a market transaction requires both sides working together.
