Sciuridae
Sciurus niger
(fox squirrel)

Image Caption:
A fox squirrel thoroughly examines a feather it found in a scotch pine, eventually dropping the feather between the tree branches and moving on.  Although this curiosity renders mice and rats easy to trap, it also helps squirrels and other animals keep abreast of potential new food sources and novel nesting materials (like Wal-Mart bags) in their home range.
